Upper Egypt Development holds its meeting in the presence of the Minister of Local Development and witnesses the launch of the Authority’s new website
The Upper Egypt Development Authority held a Board of Directors meeting headed by Major General Engineer Amr Abdel Moneim Mostafa, President of the Authority, and in the presence of Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Acting Minister of Environment, in addition to members of the Council representing all ministries and concerned authorities.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Authority welcomed the Minister and members of the Council, stressing that their presence reflects the government’s continued support for the efforts Integrated development in the governorates of Upper Egypt, and implementing the directives of the political leadership regarding enhancing the Authority’s role in promoting investment, creating job opportunities, and improving services for citizens.
During the meeting, Dr. Manal Awad launched the new website of the Upper Egypt Development Authority, which comes within the framework of the state’s digital transformation plan, and aims to enhance communication with investors, provide information and investment opportunities, and present the Authority’s projects and achievements in an updated and dynamic manner, in a way that supports transparency efforts and facilitates the services provided.
The Board of Directors discussed the executive position of a number of development projects that It is implemented by the Authority in Upper Egypt governorates, and mechanisms to enhance integration between the industrial and agricultural sectors and value chains, in addition to plans for expansion of projects with economic and social feasibility, and providing the necessary facilities for investors.
The Minister of Local Development confirmed Acting Minister of Environment stressed the importance of the pivotal role played by the Upper Egypt Development Authority in supporting investments, raising the efficiency of infrastructure, and maximizing the use of available resources, praising the new website as an interactive platform that contributes to supporting efforts to promote projects and sustainable development.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairman of the Authority thanked The Minister and the members of the Council for their continued support, stressing the continuation of work on implementing projects that achieve tangible economic and social returns for the people of Upper Egypt, in accordance with the state’s vision for comprehensive development.
