The Foreign Minister meets leaders of chambers of commerce and industry and officials of major Pakistani companies

At the beginning of his visit to Islamabad, Dr. met with Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, today, Saturday, with the heads of the Pakistani Chambers of Commerce and Industry and officials of Pakistani companies operating in the Egyptian market, within the framework of his bilateral visit to Pakistan. Abdel Ati expressed his aspiration to increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries, especially Egyptian exports to Pakistan in sectors needed by the Pakistani market such as agricultural crops, medicine, food products, fertilizers and engineering goods, calling on Pakistani companies to invest in Egypt in light of the development witnessed by the investment environment in Egypt and the promising opportunities available in various sectors.
The Foreign Minister also reviewed the opportunities for cooperation in the localization of priority industries, especially in the sectors of chemical industries, medicines, medical instruments, software and digital services, highlighting the importance Economic reform of the Suez Canal, which provides investment benefits and multiple tax and customs exemptions for foreign investors.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also stressed the importance of reactivating the joint business council between the two countries, and the joint council between the Egyptian and Pakistani Chambers of Commerce as soon as possible, pointing to the economic reforms implemented by the Egyptian government, including following a rational monetary policy and implementing a flexible exchange rate system, which reflected positively on the performance of the Egyptian economy, raising its credit rating, and improving the investment environment.
