National Elections Council: We will implement the provisions of the Supreme Administrative Council and are prepared to conduct the first round of parliamentary elections in the canceled districts

The National Elections Authority confirmed the completion of all preparations for conducting voting in the 19 districts of the first phase of the House of Representatives elections, which numbered 19 districts that had previously been cancelled, indicating full care to implement the judicial rulings issued by the Supreme Administrative Court regarding electoral appeals, as an essential and integral part of the course of the electoral process.

 

 

The National Elections Authority stated – in Statement this evening, Sunday – that in light of the scheduled dates for reconducting the first round of the first phase of the House of Representatives elections, which number 19 constituencies regarding which the Board of Directors of the National Elections Authority previously issued a decision to nullify and cancel them, and to reconduct them after the last correct procedure, it announces the completion of all necessary preparations to conduct voting in those constituencies.

 

 

The authority added that voting for those constituencies will begin outside Egypt. Over the course of two days tomorrow, Monday and the day after tomorrow, Tuesday, and inside the country on the next Wednesday and Thursday, in accordance with the decision of the Authority’s Board of Directors issued on November 18 of this year.

 

The first round of the canceled districts will be conducted during the first phase in the following districts:

 

1- Giza Governorate: The eighth district, headquartered in the Imbaba district.

 

2- Governorate Fayoum: The First District, headquartered in Fayoum Center – The Fourth District, headquartered in Abshway Center.

 

3- Assiut Governorate: The Third District, headquartered in Al-Fath Center

 

4- Sohag Governorate: The First District, headquartered in Sohag Center – The Second District, headquartered in Akhmim Center – The Third District, headquartered in Maragha Center – The Fourth District, headquartered in Tahta Center – The Fifth District, headquartered in Girga Center – The Sixth District, headquartered in Mansha Center – The Eighth District, headquartered in Dar es Salaam Center.

 

5- Qena Governorate: The First District, headquartered in Qena Center – The Second District, headquartered in Qus Center – The Third District, headquartered in Naga Hammadi Center – Fourth District, headquartered in Abu Tasht Center.

 

6- Governor of Alexandria: The Second District, headquartered in Awal Al-Raml District

 

7- Beheira Governorate: First District, headquartered in Damanhour District – Third District, headquartered Abu Homs Center – the eighth district, whose headquarters is in the Itay Al-Baroud Center.

 

At the same times, the runoff round for the first stage will be held in the second district, which is located in the Itsa Center in Fayoum Governorate.

 

The National Elections Authority indicated – in its statement – that the judicial rulings issued by the Supreme Administrative Court of the State Council in the appeals submitted to it regarding the announcement of the results in a number of districts of the first stage of the House of Representatives elections, It came within the specified time frame in accordance with the procedural and temporal schedule for the elections issued by the Authority’s Board of Directors and announced on October 4 of this year.

 

The Authority stressed its keenness to implement judicial rulings related to electoral appeals, as they are an essential and integral part of the course of the electoral process, noting that it has begun receiving the rulings of the Supreme Administrative Court, and that the executive body of the Authority is studying them and preparing the necessary report regarding the implementation of those rulings, and the proposals that Concerning the dates and timings for its conduct at home and abroad, in preparation for presenting it to the Authority’s Board of Directors, to take what it deems appropriate.

 

 

The National Elections Authority confirmed that it will immediately announce all the decisions it takes regarding those electoral districts, pointing out that the basic reference for all the decisions and procedures it takes is the Constitution and the law, while being careful to uphold the principles of transparency and integrity, and that The stage of appeal before the judiciary of the State Council represents a guarantee as subsequent judicial oversight.
