The Arab League hosts the 9th session of the Interim Executive Council of the Arab Cultural Institute

The ninth session of the Interim Executive Council of the Arab-African Cultural Institute was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, today, Monday, with the participation of the Department of Africa and Arab-African Cooperation, the Department of Culture and Dialogue of Civilizations, the African Union Commission, the Arab League Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ALEXI), the Arab-African Cultural Institute and the Arab League mission in Addis Ababa.
The session stressed – according to a statement by the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States – the importance of strengthening the role of the Institute The Arab-African Cultural Cooperation is the only institution established as an official body between the two organizations. It was established in 2002, and its headquarters are located in Bamako, the Republic of Mali, and aims to develop Arab-African cultural cooperation.
The statement explained that the participants in the session touched on the importance of the role played by the Institute in developing Arab-African cultural relations, and discussed the administrative and financial report and activities of the Institute for the years 2025-2026, as well as The financial, security and administrative situation of the Institute.
It was agreed to hold the 10th session of the Interim Executive Council of the Institute during the first quarter of next year 2026 at the headquarters of the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECEO) in Tunisia.
