The Minister of Justice witnesses the launch of the annual conference program for the meeting of heads of state affairs departments and bodies

Within the framework of the Ministry of Justice’s keenness to support and enhance joint Arab action, today, Monday, Counselor Adnan Fanjari, Minister of Justice, witnessed the launch of the annual program of the twenty-first meeting of the heads of state litigation departments and bodies (state disputes) in the Arab countries, which was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States from December 1 to 3, in the presence of Counselor Hussein Madkour, Head of the State Lawsuits Authority, Counselor Mohamed El-Shenawy, Head of the Administrative Prosecution Authority, and Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, Assistant Secretary-General, Head of the Media and Communication Sector of the League of Arab States, Dr. Iman Karim, General Supervisor of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, the relevant assistants to the Minister of Justice, and a group of leaders of judicial authorities and bodies.

At the beginning of his speech, the Minister of Justice welcomed the participating delegations from the sisterly Arab countries, saluting the venerable legal and judicial figures participating in it. His Excellency also thanked the Egyptian State Litigation Authority for its generous invitation and the effort it made in organizing and coordinating this meeting.

His Excellency stressed that this session is of special importance as it is an extension of a long path of Arab legal coordination, praising what was accomplished in the previous session as it represents an asset that should be strengthened and built upon, so that this meeting turns into a sustainable Arab platform.

His Excellency also affirmed that the Arab Republic of Egypt, under the leadership of His Excellency Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and Chairman of the Supreme Council of Judicial Authorities and Bodies, believes that Arab integration is an irreplaceable necessity and the exchange of experiences is a shorter path to raising the efficiency of institutions.

At the conclusion of his speech, His Excellency indicated that the Ministry pays special attention to consolidating aspects of judicial cooperation between Arab countries. His Excellency also thanked the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States for sponsoring this meeting and the State Litigation Authority for organizing it, asking God Almighty that this session contribute to consolidating the rule of law and protecting rights in Arab countries and societies.

After the conclusion of the opening session activities, the Minister and the attendees inspected a biography and journey exhibition inside the Arab League Museum, which includes a review of the history of the League’s inception and its most prominent historical milestones.
