Thursday… the draw for the African Championship"Women’s basketball" At Al-Ahly headquarters in Al-Jazira
Al-Ahly Club’s headquarters in Al-Jazira will witness, next Thursday, the draw ceremony for the 29th African Basketball Club Championship “Women”, which the club will host during the period from 4 to 15 December of this month.
The draw will be held in the presence of Mohamed Al-Jarhi, member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the tournament, Ibrahim Al-Amiri, and Ruwayda Hisham, members of the Board of Directors, and vice-chairmen of the Supreme Committee. The organizer of the tournament, Mr. Anibal Manaf, President of the African Basketball Confederation, Amr Moselhy, President of the Egyptian Basketball Federation, Khaled Al-Awady, Tournament Director, and representatives of the clubs and delegations participating in the tournament.
Ahly’s hosting of this edition comes as an extension of its role in supporting the continental championships, and providing all the elements that guarantee the success of the event and its outcome in a manner befitting Egyptian and African sports. The tournament witnesses the participation of many clubs from the continent, namely: Al-Ahly – Kenya Ports Authority – Feel de Dakar Senegal – Mozambican Ferraviaro – Sporting Luanda of Angola – First Bank of Nigeria – Cameroonian Fab – Rwandan Patriotic Army – Ivorian Association of Friends – Rwandan Reg – CNS Democratic Republic of the Congo – And the brave hearts of Malawi.
