Abu Dhabi Customs wins two awards at the Middle East and North Africa level
ABU DHABI, 3rd December, 2020 (WAM) – Abu Dhabi Customs won two awards within the SHRM MENA STAR for the year 2025, for its excellence in employing advanced technology and applying best practices in the field of human resources management at the level of the Middle East and North Africa region, where it received the Diamond Award for the Excellence in Human Resource Technologies category, and the Gold Award for the Excellence in Learning and Development category.
Abu Dhabi Customs won the awards from the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), one of the largest international organizations specialized in the profession of human resources management, in recognition of its pioneering efforts in adopting innovative and sustainable solutions in the human resources sector and implementing comprehensive automation for human capital management with the aim of simplifying processes, improving employee experience, and providing a positive work environment that supports a culture of creativity and excellence, in addition to its excellence in developing the competencies of human resources and refining their skills, by adopting specialized training programs based on the use of artificial intelligence tools and advanced technologies in accordance with the latest methods followed globally.
Dr. Ibrahim Al Khaja, Director of the Human Resources Department at Abu Dhabi Customs, said that this achievement reflects Abu Dhabi Customs’ commitment and success in aligning its practices in the areas of human resources with future changes, needs and requirements that are in line with its ambitious vision and strategy towards consolidating its global leadership, through continuous investment in human resources, provision of innovative services, and modernization of the technical infrastructure in accordance with best practices, which contributes to establishing an empowered institutional environment capable of keeping pace with the ambitious aspirations of leadership to reach the global level and support Economic trends of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
It is noteworthy that Abu Dhabi Customs is the first government entity in the Middle East to implement the Full Oracle HCM Cloud Suite with Analytics project and the first government entity in Abu Dhabi to be classified as the best work environment by the “Great Place to Work®” organization, an international American company specializing in a high-trust work environment.
