(Islamic Research): A convoy of female preachers from Al-Azhar departs to the Bahariya Oasis with the participation of male preachers to spread religious and societal awareness.
The Islamic Research Academy at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif launched this morning a field convoy of female preachers, with the participation of male preachers, heading to the Bahariya Oasis in Giza, as part of the Academy’s plan to strengthen community communication and spread correct religious awareness in various governorates and remote areas, within the framework of the directives of His Eminence the Grand Imam, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb intensified community awareness efforts, under the supervision of His Excellency the Undersecretary of Al-Azhar, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Duwaini, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Jundi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy, under the executive supervision of Prof. Dr. Elham Shaheen, Assistant Secretary for Women Preachers Affairs.
Professor Dr. said: Muhammad Al-Jundi, these convoys come within the framework of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif’s interest in reaching various segments of society, especially in remote areas, to provide awareness programs aimed at consolidating moral values, enhancing family awareness, correcting concepts, and confronting negative phenomena through direct meetings with women, youth, and families.
The Secretary-General explained that the convoy discusses during its activities a number of topics embodied in the needs of the local community, including: a culture of community peace, reducing domestic violence, confronting rumors, and deepening awareness. Moderate religious. It also includes activities dedicated to women and girls aimed at supporting them in issues of education, family relations, and mental health care.
For her part, Prof. Dr. Elham Shaheen said that the inclusion of female preachers in these convoys reflects Al-Azhar’s vision of empowering preaching women and providing them with a greater role in direct communication with the public, in addition to the participation of male preachers to ensure the diversity of messages and the integration of roles.
The activities of the convoy continue over the course of a week, and include seminars, dialogue meetings, and field visits inside the Bahariya Oases, with the aim of achieving a tangible impact that serves the needs of the local community and consolidates Al-Azhar’s role in guidance and awareness.
