With the participation of 10 teams, the Monodrama Festival will start in Dammam tomorrow
Employs Theatre and Performing Arts Society Tomorrow, Friday, is a festival "Monodrama" In Dammam, with the participation of 10 Saudi theater groups, on a backstage stage at the Culture and Arts Society in Dammam.
The festival, which lasts for 5 days, aims to highlight and support the theatrical movement in the Kingdom and introduce"The art of monodrama" A creative form that focuses on profound individual performance.
It includes presenting various monodramatic performances in which 10 national theater groups from (Dammam, Khobar, Riyadh, Qatif, Jazan, Taif, and Jeddah participate), in addition to a training program and a specialized workshop entitled "Performance techniques in monodrama"And a symposium entitled "One Actor Symposium: Making a Theatrical Partner"
In addition to an exhibition that monitors monodrama works in the Kingdom, and an exhibition of posters of theatrical works participating in the festival.
Strengthening the Saudi theatrical movement
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Theater and Performing Arts Society, the artist Nasser Al-Qasabi, explained that the festival comes as a continuation of the path of the Saudi theatrical movement, and in support of the creators who write with body, movement and voice the features of a theater that expresses the human being and his issues, and the constant passion for art that unites and does not divide and illuminates spaces. Darkness, and gives the future an inextinguishable flame of hope.
