Women’s handball lost to China in the President’s Cup at the World Championship

The women’s handball team lost to its Chinese counterpart with a score of 35-32 in the first match of the President’s Cup to rank positions from 25 to 32 in the world championship held in the Netherlands and Germany.

The team is scheduled to rest tomorrow, Friday, before meeting Cuba on Saturday and Uzbekistan on Monday at the same time.

 

The group stage witnessed the loss of the women’s handball team to all of Austria. And the Netherlands and Argentina, before competing in the President’s Cup.

 

The list of the women’s handball team includes: Mai Gomaa, Jihad Wael, Jannah Nour, Marwa Eid, Nadine Tariq, Shorouk Mahmoud, Nouran Khaled, Amina Hisham, Rawan Saeed, Yara Hani, Malak Amr, Taqi Kamel, Loujain Osama, Shahd Safi, Amina Atef, Malak Talab, Maryam Osama, and Fatima Mahmoud.

 

Our team is in the fifth group, which includes: Egypt, the Netherlands, Austria, and Argentina. Egyptian women begin their global journey amid great ambitions to deliver a strong performance and honorable competition in front of the world’s leaders. The women’s handball team was able to qualify for the next World Championship in 2025 for the first time in history, after qualifying for the semi-finals in Africa, after defeating its Congolese counterpart with a score of 23-22 in the quarter-finals of the recent African Championship, which was held in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
