The journalist Ahmed Schubert revealed that the Moroccan player Ashraf Ben Sharqi, Al-Ahly club winger, will be absent from the stadiums for a period ranging between two to three weeks, making his absence from the Arab Cup almost certain, as a result of his torn posterior muscle.
Dr. Ahmed Jaballah, the doctor for the first football team at Al-Ahly club, had confirmed that the x-rays performed on the player revealed a tear in the posterior muscle, explaining that the player had already begun implementing a treatment and rehabilitation program during the first stage of recovery.
Al-Ahly’s doctor also explained in previous statements that he had contacted the technical staff of the Moroccan national team to follow up on the player’s condition, especially since he was on the list participating in the Arab Cup, in order to coordinate regarding developments in his treatment and rehabilitation plan.
Ben Sharqi’s injury is a blow to Al-Ahly’s technical staff, especially since the player was performing at distinguished levels before suffering this injury, which will keep him out of participation for a period ranging from two to three weeks.
