Urgent: Yasser Abu Shabab’s militia denies Hamas’ involvement in his killing

The Yasser Abu Shabab militia denied that he was killed by gunmen belonging to the Hamas movement, and confirmed that he was killed in Gaza as a result of being hit by a gunshot while trying to resolve a tribal dispute in the southern Gaza Strip. This came in a press statement published a short while ago.
The Israeli occupation army radio had announced on Thursday that the militia leader, Yasser Abu Shabab, had been killed in the Gaza Strip by unknown gunmen, according to initial estimates in Israel, Yasser Abu Shabab was killed as a result of internal disputes.
Israeli Channel 12 quoted a security official as saying that Yasser Abu Shabab was transferred to Soroka Hospital where he died of his wounds, and security authorities in Israel estimate that the talk is about an internal dispute within the clan, and not about a liquidation operation carried out by Hamas.
As reported by Yedioth newspaper Hebrew Ahronoth quoted security sources as saying that “Yasser Abu Shabab was killed in a fight, and his death was announced on his way to Soroka Hospital.”
They added that “Abu Shabab was severely beaten to death as a result of an internal dispute over cooperation with Israel.” Pointing out that Israeli security authorities fear that “the killing of Yasser Abu Shabab will strengthen Hamas’s strength.”
