Dubai Customs and the Federal Tax Authority are discussing integration and unification of procedures

Dubai, 5 December / WAM / Dubai Customs and the Federal Tax Authority discussed mechanisms to increase the efficiency of operations and standardize procedures, in addition to reviewing opportunities for future joint projects that contribute to supporting the competitiveness of the UAE and building a more advanced and flexible system to anticipate the needs of the national economy.

This came during a meeting with His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Busnad, Director General of Dubai Customs, and His Excellency Khaled Al Bustani, Director General of the Federal Tax Authority, in the presence of a number of leaders and experts to discuss ways to enhance institutional integration and exchange of information, in a way that supports the efficiency of customs and tax procedures.

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Busnad stressed that cooperation with the Federal Tax Authority constitutes a national model to be followed in the integration of government roles, noting that this coordination will enhance the flow of information and develop more flexible and effective procedures, which contributes to supporting the business environment and enabling the country to continue its leadership in facilitating the movement of global trade.

For his part, His Excellency Khaled Al Bustani expressed the Authority’s keenness to work side by side with Dubai Customs to unify efforts and enhance the efficiency of the tax and customs infrastructure, stressing that informational connectivity and integration between the two entities will enable the provision of more accurate and rapid services, and enhance the capabilities of managing tax operations with an innovative methodology.
