President of Childhood and Motherhood: Integrating children with disabilities into society is a national priority

Dr. Sahar Al-Sunbati, President of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, visited the Nidaa Association for the Rehabilitation of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Children, which is the first association in Egypt and the Arab world to provide educational and rehabilitative services for deaf and blind people.

It is also considered one of the leading entities in providing early detection services for children who are hearing-impaired and deaf.

During the visit, Al-Sunbati inspected "Sunbati" The various sections of the association and the services it provides to children, and praised the important role that the association plays in rehabilitating children and enabling them to communicate and integrate into society.

 

 She also visited the association’s products exhibition and 50 boys and girls from the association participated in celebrating the International Day of Disability, stressing that the council pays great attention to the issue of societal and educational integration of children with disabilities, and works in cooperation with all partners to provide an inclusive and safe environment that achieves the principle Equal opportunities and respect for the differences and abilities of every child.

The President of the Council was keen to give gifts to children, stressing the importance of the partnership between the Council and NGOs, and noting the continuation of joint cooperation in order to protect and develop the rights of all children, especially children with disabilities.

 

The Council also organized a dental convoy in cooperation with New Giza University to examine children and provide them with the necessary services, in addition to a symposium presented by dentists to the children’s families to raise awareness of how to Protecting their children from dental diseases.

Mary Helmy, director of the Center for Multiple Disabilities at the Nidaa Association, presented a dialogue session with families to raise their awareness of how to deal with children and ways to meet their different needs.

 

He was received by the Council President, Magda Ahmed Fahmy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nidaa Association, Dr. Howaida Muhammad Khwaisa, a pediatric consultant with special needs, a member of the General Assembly, and a sensory integration consultant, and Mary Helmy, director of the Center. Multiple disabilities, Hala Salah El-Din, branch director of the association, and Mona Abu Al-Futouh and Mona Marei, members of Anruel Nile, Anruel region, Egypt and Jordan.
