The Sudanese community in the Emirates celebrates the 54th Union Day

ABU DHABI, 7 December / WAM / The Sudanese community celebrated the 54th Federation Day of the UAE, at the headquarters of the Sudanese Social Club in Abu Dhabi, amid a large presence of members of the community, and with the remarkable participation of a number of Emirati writers, poets and artists.

The celebration was attended by Sheikh Mansour bin Surur bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi, along with a number of heads of Sudanese clubs in the Emirates, in a solemn festive atmosphere revived by artists and poets from Sudan and the Emirates, which reflected the depth of fraternal relations between the two peoples.

The celebration activities included Emirati and Sudanese heritage performances, in addition to presenting national songs from the two countries and folkloric performances that combined Emirati and Sudanese heritage dances.

In his speech, Muhammad Bahaa El-Din, President of the Sudanese Club, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the leadership and people of the UAE, congratulating them on the 54th Union Day, noting that the UAE was and still is the warm embrace that welcomed hundreds of thousands of Sudanese, and provided them with a safe environment to realize their hopes and aspirations.

He added that the UAE represents a unique and rare model of tolerance, coexistence and humanitarian stances, and is considered one of the most generous countries in the humanitarian and relief fields.

On this day, the members of the community renewed their pride in the country’s comprehensive renaissance and pioneering achievements, expressing their great gratitude for the genuine stances that the UAE continued to show towards the Sudanese people during the harsh ordeal afflicting their country, by providing generous humanitarian support to millions of refugees who were displaced by the war outside the country.

The Sudanese Club also held a celebration of the 54th Union Day of the country at its headquarters in the Maamoura area of ​​Ras Al Khaimah, and hosted the second edition of the “The Magic of Heritage between Nobility and Modernity” 2025 festival, the official sponsor and organizer of the event.

The festival included Sudanese musical performances, an accompanying bazaar that included 28 pavilions for productive families, and competitions that offered prizes to the winners.

Khaled Al-Shazly, Director of the Club’s Cultural Committee, praised the UAE’s genuine support for the Sudanese people in all circumstances.
