A new player terminates his contract with Zamalek amid continuing financial crises

Palestinian striker Omar Farag has officially decided to terminate his contract with Zamalek club, in light of the continuing financial crises that the club has been suffering from during the recent period.
Faraj’s decision came after he has been away from participating since his return from loan to the Swedish club Degerfors, in addition to not receiving his overdue payments, which prompted him to take the step of terminating the contract.
Zamalek is experiencing a stifling financial crisis that has led to the delay in the payments of a number of players and coaches, which has caused an accumulation of complaints.
FIFA had decided to suspend Zamalek’s registration due to 6 financial cases related to unpaid dues, including the case of its former Tunisian player Ferjani Sassi, the case of its Swiss coach Christian Gross, and the case of Portuguese Jose Gomez, in addition to three other cases related to the latter’s assistants.
