Aboul Gheit opens a training course on the role of international negotiations in restoring and building peace

Under the supervision and presence of Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Fund for Technical Aid to African Countries, the activities of the training course on “The Role of International Negotiations in Restoring and Building Peace” were opened at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, which is implemented by the Arab Fund for Technical Aid to African Countries, under the supervision of Ambassador Mohand Saleh Lajouzi, Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States and Director-General of the Fund, and that For the benefit of 32 Sudanese government cadres from several ministries.
Ambassador Lieutenant General Eng. Imad al-Din Mustafa Adawi, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Sudan to the League of Arab States, and Ambassador Khaled al-Shazly, Deputy Secretary-General of the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development, participated in the opening of the session’s activities. An elite group of specialized ambassadors from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by Ambassador Dr. Mohamed Badr El-Din Zayed, former Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Salah Halima, former Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister Plenipotentiary Tamer Azzam at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which reflects the integrated coordination and efforts made to ensure the success of the program and achieve its training objectives.
The Secretary-General’s sponsorship and opening of this session confirms the great interest of the League of Arab States in supporting Sudan in the paths of restoring peace and stability, and represents a clear message of the importance of this training program in the current stage that Sudan is going through, and in supporting Regional and international efforts aimed at building sustainable peace. This session also reflects the commitment of the Arab League to support Sudan and provide its cadres with the necessary expertise in the fields of international negotiation and peacebuilding, in a way that enhances their role in serving the national agenda and achieving the aspirations of the Sudanese people.
