He is disappointed.. Trump directs new criticism at Zelensky


The American President said Donald Trump He felt somewhat disappointed with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky because the latter did not engage in pushing forward the proposal for a peace plan to end the war with Russia.
He said Trump told reporters in response to a question during an annual awards ceremony organized by the Kennedy Center: "I spoke with President Putin and with Ukrainian leaders, including Zelensky, and I must say that I am a little disappointed that President Zelensky has not read the proposal yet, and this was a few hours ago"
Days of talks between US and Ukrainian officials, in which Zelensky participated by phone, ended on Saturday without achieving any clear progress, despite the Ukrainian president’s pledge to hold more talks to reach real peace.
The talks came after US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin, as Moscow rejected parts of the US proposal.
The US plan has undergone several amendments since it was first presented this month. The past, amid criticism that it is being lenient with Russia, which invaded Ukraine in February 2022.
