The Kremlin: There are no plans to meet Putin and Trump before the end of this year

Dmitry Peskov, Russian presidential spokesman (Kremlin), announced today, Monday, that there are no plans to hold a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart, Donald Trump, before the beginning of the new year, explaining that such a meeting requires careful preparations to ensure the achievement of tangible results.

 

Peskov said in television statements, reported by the Russian (TASS) news agency, that “talk about a meeting at this time It is not currently on the table…it must be well prepared, and there is work already underway at the expert level.”

He added that Moscow is still awaiting official information about the results of the talks that took place in Florida between the American and Ukrainian delegations, stressing that the Russian position in the next stage will be based on the results of those discussions.

He indicated that the results of the American-Ukrainian dialogue will determine Russia’s next steps.
