Egyptian star Yousra participates with the audience in…"Bridge " 3 tips to maintain a successful artistic career

Abu Dhabi, 9 December / WAM / Egyptian star Yousra provided three basic tips to maintain an extended and successful artistic career, stressing that the artist must continue to communicate with all generations to ensure the continuity of the relationship with the audience, and to be smart in choosing artistic works, and continuous innovation through cooperation with creative people capable of inventing new methods, explaining that talent alone is not enough, and it is necessary to develop it with practical experience and continuous experiments, to add new dimensions to artistic performance and ensure staying at the forefront of the scene.
This came in a session titled “The Secret of Yousra’s Stardom after Five Decades,” during the “Bridge 2025” summit activities within the art and music track, which constitutes one of the seven main tracks of the summit.
The Egyptian star pointed out that modern means of communication offer a wide range of opportunities for support and direct communication with the audience, but at the same time they are not without great risks that affect the artist’s career quickly, stressing the importance of distinguishing between falsehood and truth, coexisting with everything that happens in this constantly changing environment, and the ability to keep up with it and adapt to it.
Yousra stressed that love of work and passion for the profession are the basis for maintaining stardom in the long term, noting the importance of not rushing to reach stardom. She said: “Acceptance is something that God gives to the artist, while being a successful and creative actor is due to your artistic responsibility and the extent of your commitment to your work.”
Yousra explained that the actor’s success in the era before social media was not only related to his skill, but other factors such as timing and appropriate opportunities played a major role. Today, there are stars who appear on social media platforms, but talent and professionalism remain the indispensable foundation.
Yousra shared with the summit audience her vision that the entry of content makers into the field of acting has become a healthy phenomenon that reflects the change in the artistic scene, because purposeful content makers express their opinions frankly and objectively, and this new role has a positive impact on artists, as it allows them to know the audience’s reactions directly, and adds a new dimension to the artist’s interaction with the artistic community and fans.
Yousra explained that failure is a natural part of any artist’s career, and that learning from it represents an essential step towards success, pointing to her own experience, where she worked on 25 films that did not achieve the desired success, and she learned from those experiences the mistakes of timing of release, performance, and audience acceptance, stressing that the greatest actors have failed or mediocre works, and that the diversity of personalities and renewal of performance protects the artist from monotony and gives him the ability to continuously develop.
At the conclusion of the session, Yousra revealed exclusively to the audience of the Bridge 2025 Summit about her feeling of fear before going on stage, saying: “I always feel afraid before I go on stage. At this moment I am very cowardly,” and pointed out that this fear is an integral part of the artistic process, and that it translates into a stronger performance and more interaction with the audience.
