Cooperation between "Educational Center" and"Emirates Creativity" To support the Arabic language and promote innovation
Sharjah, May 25 / WAM / The Educational Center for the Arabic Language for the Gulf States and the Emirates Creativity Society today concluded a cooperation agreement, within the framework of strengthening institutional partnerships that support the development of Arabic language education and consolidating its presence in the fields of creativity and innovation.
The agreement was signed at the center’s headquarters in the University City of Sharjah by His Excellency Dr. Issa Saleh Al Hammadi, Director of the Center, on behalf of the Educational Center, while it was signed on behalf of the Emirates Creativity Society by His Excellency Sheikha Dr. Kholoud bint Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Society’s Board of Directors, in the presence of a number of officials and specialists from both sides.
The agreement aims to enhance joint cooperation in the areas of supporting the Arabic language, developing the creative capabilities of students and teachers, and developing specific programs and initiatives that contribute to employing the Arabic language in the fields of innovation, in addition to exchanging experiences and organizing joint events that serve the goals of both parties.
His Excellency Dr. Issa Saleh Al Hammadi stressed that the signing of the agreement comes in line with the Center’s directions in building effective strategic partnerships with leading national and community institutions, which contributes to supporting the paths of developing Arabic language education and enhancing its presence in educational and creative environments, pointing to the importance of integration between educational and cultural institutions to achieve a sustainable impact in this field.
For her part, Her Excellency Sheikha Dr. Kholoud bint Humaid Al Qasimi confirmed that the association seeks, through the agreement, to support initiatives that enhance creativity in the Arabic language and open new horizons for creative people, especially students and youth, in a way that keeps pace with the requirements of the times.
The agreement comes within the efforts of the Educational Center for the Arabic Language for the Gulf States to expand its network of strategic partnerships, thus enhancing its regional role in developing Arabic language education, and supporting initiatives aimed at empowering it as a language of science, creativity and culture.
The association’s visit included an introductory tour of the center’s facilities, which included the library, theatre, the Arabic language exhibition, and the linguistic activities exhibition, in addition to a review of the center’s efforts in serving the Arabic language, teaching and learning, and its programs in the field of linguistic creativity, including specialized studies and research in developing writing skills and creative linguistic production using education and electronic stories.
The association’s delegation was briefed on the center’s competitions in the fields of stories, novels, and poetry for students from member states of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, and the Arabic language competitions that are concerned with enhancing students’ linguistic creativity and developing their confidence in the Arabic language, in addition to a visual presentation that covered the center’s most prominent achievements and activities since its founding.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Educational Center presented a commemorative shield to Her Excellency Sheikha Dr. Kholoud bint Humaid Al Qasimi, in appreciation of the efforts of the Emirates Creativity Society in supporting the process of creativity and culture.
