Aswan Governor: Ending all preparations to confront heavy rains and torrential rains

The Governor of Aswan, Dr. Ismail Kamal, said that all preparations have been completed to deal with any repercussions of the possibility of rain or torrential rain, especially in light of the current period witnessing fluctuations in weather and weather conditions.
Kamal stressed, while chairing the governorate’s Executive Council meeting, which was held today, Tuesday, the necessity of achieving cooperation between all parties and continuing to raise the maximum degree of preparedness, provided that the paths crossing torrents will continue to be reviewed, the encroachments removed, and waterways cleared, And confirming the readiness of the drains to absorb any possible quantities of water, with a total of 36 artificial drains, 22 obstruction dams, 14 earth barriers, and 22 artificial lakes.
The drinking water company was tasked with disinfecting sewage networks, lines and risers, in addition to the Social Solidarity, Youth, Sports and Education Department reviewing the urgent shelter camps, confirming the suitability and efficiency of tents, relief and subsistence tools and equipment, and closely following up on meteorological warnings and forecasts. And weather forecasts and review them daily.
He directed that the sub- and main emergency rooms in Aswan be linked and connected to the central operations rooms of the Ministry of Local Development and the Council of Ministers, with periodic reports being submitted on the state of preparations and the speed of field intervention for all governorate agencies in the event of any emergency.
He explained that deterrent measures would be taken against any official who fails to deal with occupancies, and that they be reported promptly, as the past period witnessed intense efforts. In all centers and cities to deal with this phenomenon, surprise field follow-up committees will be held in all centers and cities.
He stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to increase surprise visits by joint committees to control markets and control prices, and to strengthen inspectional oversight to ensure and reassure the quality of food commodities and their suitability for human consumption in bakeries and various commercial activities, to preserve the public health of citizens.
The Governor of Aswan stressed the need for complete neutrality in the run-off elections. The House of Representatives, which will start tomorrow, and that neutrality is not an option but rather an indisputable national duty.
This came during the governor’s meeting with officials of the executive agencies, today; To follow up on the final ongoing preparations for the launch of the House of Representatives elections in 3 main constituencies in the governorate in the centers of Aswan, Edfu and Nasr al-Nuba, which include 151 subcommittees. Committees.
He stressed the need to provide waiting seats and wheelchairs for people of determination and the elderly, as well as umbrellas and water coolers, which is integrated with the implementation of public cleaning work, to create an aesthetic and civilized atmosphere in front of the electoral committees, directing the necessity of activating the operating rooms and linking them to the main room in the governorate to ensure speedy movement and immediate response to any problem that may arise during voting hours.
