summit "Bridge 2025" From the Emirates, it presents new visions that change the understanding of art in the age of technology

Abu Dhabi, 9 December / WAM / The Bridge 2025 Summit opened its space to one of the most prominent influential voices in media and culture in China, presenting its audience with a comprehensive vision of what awaits the arts in the age of artificial intelligence, and how traditional concepts of creativity are transformed into immersive, multi-sensory experiences. In a session titled “The future of art is felt… not just seen,” Yang Lan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sun Media Group and one of the most prominent media figures in Asia, provided an in-depth reading of the changes that are reshaping the art scene worldwide, and the new paths for experimentation and innovation that technology provides.
Yang Lan stressed that the UAE, with its growth in contemporary arts and investment in cultural projects, is an ideal platform to open a global discussion about the future of digital art.
Lan reviewed the rising wave of digital creativity in which Chinese artists combine psychology, bioscience, urban design, and heritage, using advanced technological tools that redefine the relationship between the audience and the work of art.
It highlighted pioneering experiences from the Hengqin-Macao International Digital Art Exhibition, where visitors enter environments that respond to their biometric data, interact with virtual ecosystems created by sensors attached to oysters, and explore 3D digital versions of museum artifacts. She explained that this trend represents a cultural shift that makes art a space created by interaction, data, and sensory immersion, not just a material that is viewed.
Lan pointed out that this movement is being led by a new generation of creators and technology pioneers in China, saying: “We are living in a moment that calls for building a whole new system for the arts and media of the future… a system that includes ways to innovate, display, experiment, and trade digital properties. With Blockchain, I believe that this revolution will arrive faster than we expect.”
The session comes as part of a program that includes more than 300 events that reflect the scale and ambition of the “Bridge Summit 2025”, which is being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) between December 8 and 10.
