Major General Nidal Youssef: The emergency system is an integrated national project

Major General Nidal Youssef, Assistant Minister of Interior and Head of the Police Academy, stressed that building a strong and effective system to confront emergencies and crises represents an integrated national project and not just traditional administrative work.

 

This came in Major General Youssef’s speech during the symposium “The Integrative Role of State Institutions in Confronting Crises,” where he indicated that Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of Interior, is giving this event special attention, out of his belief in The importance of supporting national efforts to build a system capable of confronting crises and disasters.

 

Major General Nidal Youssef explained that the strategy of the Ministry of Interior is based on cooperation and integration with all state institutions, pointing out that responding to crises has become a necessity imposed by contemporary challenges and not an option. He pointed out that the state is constantly working to develop its plans to predict crises and mechanisms for dealing with them, stressing the state’s strong trend towards employing artificial intelligence and modern technology to enhance national capabilities in this field.

 

The Assistant Minister considered that integration between state institutions and civil society represents a fundamental pillar in the system for dealing with various risks. Major General Youssef added that the Ministry of Interior stands at the front of the ranks during crises and disasters, and continues its advanced training approach to confront possible scenarios.

 

He stressed that the Police Academy attaches great importance to preparing a modern policeman capable of facing challenges with high efficiency, by organizing specialized training courses and deepening awareness of methods of dealing with emergency situations. At the conclusion of the symposium, the Police Academy showed a documentary film prepared by the Ministry’s Media and Relations Sector, which reviewed the great efforts made by the Ministry of Interior in managing crises and disasters.
