To get rid of the stray dog ​​crisis, Cairo Governorate allocates land to establish the first shelter

Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, said that the allocation of a plot of land of 2,800 square meters east of the highway in the city of El-Tebin aims to establish a place to shelter stray dogs (Shelter). With the aim of ensuring the public safety of citizens, without prejudice to the principle of animal welfare.

 

The Governor of Cairo stressed that the shelters will be managed in a scientific manner based on the fact that animal welfare is an essential element for maintaining the environmental balance, in cooperation with the General Authority for Veterinary Services and the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine in Cairo. There will also be cooperation with the owners of associations and private shelters to exchange experiences with them to reach the best Results.

 

The Governor of Cairo added that the Shelter will provide medical services with a group of specialized veterinarians, will have places to care for dogs, and will also provide a service for adopting dogs after ensuring that they are free of diseases and have received the necessary vaccinations.
