Jordan and Qatar are discussing enhancing joint investments in industry, infrastructure and food security

Jordan and Qatar discussed expanding the horizons of economic cooperation between them, during a meeting held by the Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Engineer Yaroub Al-Qudah, in Amman, with a Qatari delegation representing the Qatar Investment Authority, where the two sides discussed investment opportunities in industry, food security, infrastructure, energy, and services, in addition to participating in reconstruction projects in Syria.
Al-Qudah stressed that there are broad opportunities to strengthen economic partnerships during the coming period, Pointing out that King Abdullah II’s discussions with the Emir of the State of Qatar during his recent visit to Jordan formed an important basis for advancing economic relations between the two countries.
The Jordanian minister stressed the importance of forming a joint technical team to continuously discuss promising sectors and identify investment opportunities, while involving the Jordanian and Qatari private sectors to ensure the achievement of effective economic partnerships.
The judges explained that Jordan possesses strategic opportunities in the food and clothing industries, infrastructure and energy, in addition to its location as a center. Logistics and a gateway to the region’s markets, especially in the context of the reconstruction of Syria.
He also pointed to the growth of Jordanian industrial exports, which amounted to $12 billion, and the rise in exports to Europe to $500 million, and to Syria to about $400 million during the current year.
The Qatari delegation included officials from the Qatar Investment Authority, Qatar Energy, and the Electricity and Water Company, who stressed Doha’s interest in strengthening economic cooperation with Amman, based on the results of the Emir of Qatar’s visit and discussions. With the king.
