The Minister of Foreign Affairs opens the Egyptian-Angolan Business Forum

 Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, opened today, Thursday in the Angolan capital, Luanda, the Egyptian-Angolan Business Forum, on the sidelines of the first session of the joint committee between the two countries.

The forum witnessed the presence of Dr. Sherif El-Gebly, Chairman of the African Cooperation Committee of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, and representatives of a number of Egyptian companies working in the fields of energy, construction, building and technology. Information.

 

Minister Abdel-Aty stressed that holding the forum with a wide presence from the private sector, investors and businessmen reflects the strength of relations between Egypt and Angola, and the joint political will of the leadership of the two countries to advance economic cooperation to become a main pillar of the bilateral partnership, stressing the need to enhance the volume of trade exchange and mutual investments and exploit the available capabilities and opportunities.

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs also stressed the importance of The forum is a platform to support partnerships between public and private sector companies from both sides and advance economic integration efforts, noting the readiness of Egyptian companies to work in the Angolan market, reviewing their extensive experience in infrastructure projects within Egypt and the African continent, and their competitive ability in the fields of building, construction and infrastructure. In addition to enhancing cooperation in the field of energy based on Egypt’s experience in the manufacturing and petrochemical industries, in addition to opportunities for cooperation in new and renewable energy and green hydrogen as strategic areas for the future.

 

He pointed to the promising opportunities for cooperation in agriculture, health and pharmaceutical industries, stressing the two countries’ aspiration to sign a memorandum of understanding in the field of health that will allow the provision of high-quality Egyptian medicine to Angolan citizens and support efforts to develop the health sector. The Minister of Foreign Affairs concluded by stressing the importance of strengthening banking connectivity, facilitating financial transactions, avoiding double taxation, and accelerating licensing procedures, indicating the readiness of the General Authority for Investment to cooperate with its Angolan counterpart to facilitate the business environment, and the aspiration of both sides to accelerate the establishment of the Egyptian-Angolan Business Council to support institutional communication between the two business communities and enhance trade exchange between them. The two countries.
