The Prime Minister meets the head of a company "Bloomberg Green"
Madbouly confirms providing all possible support to the company to ensure the speedy implementation of the proposed projects
Philip Bloomberg: We intend to expand in the Egyptian market in many fields
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, received this evening at the government headquarters in the new capital, Philip Bloomberg, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of “Bloomberg Green” company. Blumberg Grain, and his accompanying delegation, to discuss joint cooperation opportunities and establish partnerships in the fields of food security, modern agriculture, medicine storage, and manufacturing components for silos and logistics centers, in the presence of Ambassador Khaled Azmi, Assistant Secretary of State for American Affairs.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister welcomed Mr. Bloomberg and his accompanying delegation, praising the previous cooperation relations with the company, especially the project to establish a wheat storage system in 2014, which played an important role in reducing local wheat loss and enhancing food security.
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly stressed that the Egyptian state’s vision depends on building strategic partnerships based on joint investment, technology transfer, and local manufacturing, noting that the government is implementing a reform program that focuses on strengthening the role of the private sector and attracting more investments. He also pointed out that the company’s areas of work are compatible with the priorities of the Egyptian state, especially in the sectors of food security, agriculture, logistics and medicine, through which Egypt aims to increase local production and attract foreign direct investments.
The Prime Minister explained that Egypt’s strategic location makes it a major hub for regional and international supply chains, which opens the way for the company to develop smart storage facilities and logistics centers that serve its activity in the Middle East and North Africa.
During the meeting, he expressed Philip Bloomberg expressed his admiration for the great development that Egypt has witnessed in recent years, saying: “I congratulate you on building these distinguished facilities within a short period. Especially the new capital. When I visited Egypt 10 years ago, it was not this developed at various levels, which confirms our conviction that Egypt will remain the gateway to the African continent and the center of the Middle East."
He added: “I take this opportunity to convey my greetings to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who was able to build a new, advanced Egypt. I will work to convey the image of the progress Egypt is witnessing to American companies and encourage them to come and invest here."
Bloomberg explained: The company intends to expand in the Egyptian market during the next stage in many fields, indicating that “Bloomberg Green” It is looking for important opportunities to establish modern wheat silos using the latest storage technologies, in a way that supports the country’s efforts to achieve food security. He also added that the company is also considering establishing partnerships with the government in the fields of health, medicine storage, and modern agriculture, in addition to localizing the manufacture of silo components and logistics centers, with the aim of making Egypt a gateway for exports to Africa and the Middle East.
He also indicated his intention to visit Egypt next February at the head of a delegation from the company to complete the discussion of these opportunities and reach consensus with various government agencies.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the government’s aspiration to conclude more partnerships with “Bloomberg Green” company. In the sectors that were addressed, including the storage of wheat and medicines and the manufacture of silo components, stressing the importance of quickly completing these projects as soon as understandings are reached regarding them. He also confirmed providing all possible support to the company, including facilitating the necessary procedures to ensure the speedy implementation of the proposed projects.
