"Federal National" He receives a delegation from the General Secretariat of the Omani Shura Council

Abu Dhabi, 12 December / WAM / A delegation from the General Secretariat of the Shura Council in the sisterly Sultanate of Oman visited the headquarters of the Federal National Council, with the aim of exchanging experiences in the field of providing technical and logistical support to the Council’s organs, in order to enhance its performance in legislative, oversight and parliamentary diplomacy.

During the visit, His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, Chairman of the Federal National Council, met with the Omani delegation, where he welcomed them, stressing the depth of the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman, and the continued development and prosperity these relations are witnessing thanks to the support and care of the leadership of the two brotherly countries.

His Excellency Dr. Omar Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of the Federal National Council, also met with the delegation of the General Secretariat of the Shura Council in the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, headed by His Excellency Muslim bin Saeed bin Muslim, Assistant Secretary-General for Committees and Information, praising the depth of the established fraternal relations that bring together the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman, stressing the importance of these visits, the exchange of parliamentary experiences between the two secretariats, and the development of institutional work tools to support the legislative and oversight system.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Saif Saeed Abdullah bin Matar Al Muhairi, Assistant Secretary-General for Legislation and Oversight, Afra Rashid Eid Al-Basti, Assistant Secretary-General for Parliamentary Communication, Engineer Matar Suhail Salem Matar Al-Muhairi, and Tariq Ahmed Hassan Al-Marzouqi, Assistant Secretary-General for Council Presidency Affairs.

His Excellency Dr. Omar Al Nuaimi stressed that the General Secretariat of the Federal National Council is keen to achieve development in digital services and artificial intelligence, with the aim of enabling the Council to exercise its powers in accordance with the best sustainable parliamentary performance.

During its visit to the headquarters of the Federal National Council in Abu Dhabi, the delegation was briefed on the nature of the work of the Digital Transformation Department, protocols and protocols, the Department of Member Affairs, Administrative Affairs, and the Network Operations Center. It visited the Federal National Council Museum and listened to a presentation on the Council’s work in legislation, policies, and managing sessions and committees.

During the tour, the delegation listened to a detailed explanation about artificial intelligence applications that support parliamentary work, decision-making support techniques, the document archiving system, smart operating systems for managing parliamentary data, and the advanced systems that have been developed to link the sectors of the General Secretariat.
