The Attorney General receives the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Estonia

ABU DHABI, 13 December / WAM / His Excellency Counselor Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, Attorney General of the Federation, received Her Excellency Lisa Lee Pakosta, Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs of the Republic of Estonia, and her accompanying delegation, at the headquarters of the Office of the Attorney General and Federal Prosecutions in Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance judicial cooperation and develop partnerships in the fields of criminal justice and digital transformation, in addition to exchanging visions on the latest international practices in legal technology, which contributes to supporting the penal system and expanding the horizons of cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the Public Prosecution gave an integrated presentation about its digital system, which included a review of the smart case management system, smart applications, and digital structures supporting the penal system, in addition to a review of the Public Prosecution’s initiatives to employ artificial intelligence technologies to support judicial decisions, speed up procedures, and enhance the quality of services provided to customers.

The “Future Prosecution 2045” path was also highlighted, which constitutes the ambitious framework for developing the public prosecution and criminal justice system in the country through innovative solutions and the use of emerging technologies that enhance efficiency, readiness, and global leadership in digital justice.

His Excellency the Attorney General welcomed the visit of the Estonian Minister of Justice, praising the importance of this meeting in strengthening bilateral cooperation and developing relations in the legal and judicial fields, stressing the UAE’s keenness to exchange advanced experiences and benefit from leading international experiences, especially Estonia’s experience in digital transformation and smart governance.
