The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities organizes a tourist convoy in the Czech Republic

Within the framework of implementing the strategy of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to diversify tourism export markets for Egyptian destinations, the Ministry, represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, organized a tourist convoy in a number of cities in the Czech Republic, in cooperation with Der Tour, one of the most prominent tour operators in Eastern European markets, especially the Czech market.

This tourist convoy was organized in the cities of Prague, Brno, and Ostrava; Which was chosen based on its importance and the air traffic available between it and the Egyptian tourist destinations.

This convoy aims to further promote the Egyptian tourist destination in the Czech market by highlighting the competitive advantages it has in terms of the components, products and tourist patterns that it offers to its visitors and its various tourist destinations, especially the New Alamein and Marsa Matrouh regions, especially during the 2026 summer season, in addition to enhancing sales of the current winter season and the summer season. 2026. The tour operator hosted 18 major Egyptian hotels in Egypt in addition to inviting 50 major Czech travel agents to participate in this tourist convoy.

For his part, Engineer Ahmed Youssef, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, explained that the Authority’s participation in organizing this tourist convoy comes within the framework of the efforts made by the Ministry and the Authority to diversify the sources of tourist traffic arriving at the Egyptian tourist destination, especially from the main markets in Eastern Europe, especially the Egyptian market. The Czech market is the second largest market in the region in terms of the number of tourists arriving from it to the Egyptian destination after the Polish market, pointing to the growth achieved by the Czech market in the numbers of tourists arriving from it to the Egyptian destination during the current year compared to last year, as a result of the increase in tourist demand from it and the increase in the rates of charter air traffic heading towards the Egyptian beach tourist destinations.

The Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activation was represented in this tourist convoy by Mr. Mohamed El-Sharqawi, Director General of the Office of the CEO of the Authority, And Mr. Ahmed Saleheen, Director of the Eastern European and Russian Federation Markets Unit at the Authority.
