A message from the Saudi coach to Jamal Al-Salami and the Jordanian national team, Yazan Al-Naimat

The Saudi national team coach, the Frenchman Hervé Renard, sent a message to the Jordanian national team coach, the Moroccan Jamal Al Salami, and the “Nashama” players before the expected confrontation between the two teams tomorrow, Monday (9:30 UAE time) in the semi-finals of the Arab Cup tournament currently being held in Qatar.
Renard said in a press conference before the match: “The Jordanian team proved during the tournament that it is an organized team, characterized by rapid offensive transformation and defensive solidity,” stressing that “these data impose the highest levels of focus and caution on the Saudi team in order to reach the final match.”
The French coach praised the relationship he has with Jamal Al-Salami, describing him as a close friend and distinguished coach, and praising the great role he played in leading Jordan to the 2026 World Cup, before joking with him, saying: “He must stop now,” referring to Al-Akhdar’s ambition to continue his journey towards the title.
In his message to the Jordanian national team players, Renard expressed his regret over the injury of star Yazan Al-Naimat, wishing him a speedy recovery, but at the same time he stressed that “Jordan does not depend on one player, and that its offensive line has multiple solutions that require caution and discipline.”
Renard also sent an indirect message to the fans of the Saudi national team, stressing that their great support in the last match was an influential factor, and that the players seek to return the favor by providing a performance worthy of their confidence and achieving qualification to the final.
The French coach concluded his message by emphasizing that such big matches are decided by small details and by the fighting spirit on the field, expressing his full respect for the Jordanian team and his ambition for the confrontation to be equal to the value of the two teams.
