It pledged to deduct grades and pursue security prosecutions for serious violations such as cybercrimes, blackmail and extremism, to ensure a safe educational environment for millions of students in their homes.

She stressed The Ministry of Educationits approach towards behavioral discipline for students in conjunction with converting studies to a “remote” system in light of the volatile weather conditions witnessed in a number of regions of the Kingdom.

A rigorous digital transformation

The Ministry confirmed that digital transformation does not exempt students from full compliance with the rules of conduct and attendance, considering that the educational platform is an extension of the classroom and all rules and regulations apply to it.

The Ministry stated that Article “27” of the rules of conduct and attendance, regarding behavioral problems of the fifth degree for the middle and secondary stages in e-learning and distance education, stipulates that if a student commits a behavioral violation of this degree, the first procedure will be applied to him, If the same violation is repeated, the following procedure shall be applied.

These behavioral violations include a number of serious behaviors, including insulting or mocking any of the rituals of Islam, or insulting the state or its symbols, or broadcasting and promoting extremist, takfiri, or atheistic ideas and beliefs, or anything that harms the political and social systems of society, in addition to insulting divine religions, or provoking what causes racism or tribal, sectarian, or sectarian strife within the environment. Educational.

The violations also include blackmailing students, electronic bullying, electronic sexual harassment, appearances, pictures or slogans that indicate or promote homosexuality, drug promotion, as well as committing information crimes of all kinds.

Educational and therapeutic procedures

The Ministry explained that The educational and therapeutic procedures adopted to modify behavior in such cases begin with the school administration recording an official report to prove the incident, followed by notifying the student’s guardian electronically and informing him of the details of the problem and the resulting procedures.

The procedures also include deducting fifteen grades from the student’s positive behavior grades, while giving him educational opportunities to compensate for the deducted grades through behavior modification, in addition to officially notifying his guardian of this, in order to achieve a balance between educational discipline and providing opportunities for reform.

Also, The rules stipulate that an immediate meeting of the student guidance committee be held in the school immediately after the violation occurs, to study the circumstances and circumstances of the case, follow up on the student’s condition by the student advisor, and provide the necessary educational services that contribute to addressing the behavior and ensuring that it does not repeat itself.

The Ministry of Education confirmed that if the violation is classified as a case of abuse, neglect, or other cases mentioned in the regulations, and after exhausting all stipulated educational procedures, contact is made directly with the “1919” Reports Receiving Center to complete The necessary regulatory procedures, in addition to informing the competent security authorities immediately upon the occurrence of the problem, after notifying the guardian and documenting all the measures taken.

The Ministry stressed that adherence to the rules of conduct and attendance is a shared responsibility between the school and the family, stressing the importance of the safe and responsible use of educational platforms, and adherence to pedagogical and learning values, ensuring a safe and disciplined educational environment, whether in in-person or distance education.
