The Enterprise Development Authority implements a plan to double industrial financing in Matrouh

Basil Rahmi, CEO of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency, stressed the agency’s keenness to double the funding available to the youth of Matrouh Governorate, during the next phase, through an ambitious plan implemented by the agency in coordination with the governorate and partner agencies to expand the establishment of industrial and productive projects in Matrouh, and to provide more decent and sustainable job opportunities for the governorate’s youth.
Rahmy’s statements came on the occasion of the governorate’s National Day, where he congratulated Rahmi. The people and sons of Marsa Matrouh Governorate, and Major General Khaled Shuaib, Governor of Matrouh, on the occasion of National Day, stressing the agency’s keenness to expand the availability of financing to young owners of existing projects or young people wishing to establish new projects, while working to provide project owners with the necessary technical services to ensure their stability and enhance their opportunities for expansion, with the agency’s focus on productive and industrial projects given their importance in contributing to the national economy and meeting the needs of the local market.
Rahmi said that the Enterprise Development Authority He attaches great importance to the border governorates as they are most in need of development services, pointing to the agency’s continuous and ongoing support for the handicrafts sector in Matrouh to advance and develop it to accommodate more job opportunities, through training, financing and marketing services and the involvement of project owners in large and central exhibitions, most notably the Turathna Handicrafts and Heritage Exhibition.
The CEO stressed the close cooperation with the Governor of Matrouh to provide and provide more facilities, benefits and financial, technical and non-financial services stipulated in the Project Development Law. No. 152 of 2020 for the youth of Matrouh and working to enable them to make the maximum possible benefit from these services, to help them establish more projects in various fields and exploit promising investment opportunities in the governorate.
The head of the Project Development Agency indicated that the agency is keen to conclude agreements and protocols with various partner agencies in the governorate, including civil society associations With the aim of strengthening cooperation, in order to serve common goals through cooperation in various fields related to training, enhancing entrepreneurial skills, encouraging self-employment, and economic empowerment For women.
Rahmi said that the Project Development Agency succeeded in pumping nearly a quarter of a billion pounds into Matrouh Governorate during the period from July 2014 to October 2025, financing 2,600 projects and providing 8,170 diverse job opportunities, in addition to directing 12.4 million pounds to infrastructure, community development, and training projects, providing 263,000 work days.
