8 European countries discuss strengthening defenses on the border with Russia

The Finnish government said that leaders of eight European Union countries will discuss strengthening defenses along the border with Russia at the East Wing Summit to be held in Helsinki.

Today, Helsinki is hosting a meeting in which the prime ministers of Sweden, Estonia, Poland, Latvia and Bulgaria will participate, in addition to the presidents of Romania and Lithuania.

The Finnish government previously announced that the meeting will focus on the threats facing European security and defense preparedness, especially on the “eastern border.” For the European Union.
