The United Nations calls for broader aid for victims of terrorism

Today, Tuesday, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime hosted an expert meeting on comprehensive assistance plans for victims of terrorism, organized by the United Nations Center for Counter-Terrorism (UNCCT).
The two-day meeting discussed the repercussions of the Sydney terrorist attack. The participating experts said, “Terrorism continues to inflict a grim toll of deaths, personal injuries, and hostage-taking around the world,” noting that many countries have not yet taken adequate measures to help… Victims.
