“Human Resources and Emiratisation” completes 13 million transactions using automation and artificial intelligence technologies without human intervention.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced that about 13 million transactions were completed using automation and artificial intelligence technologies and without human intervention, from the beginning of the year until the tenth of December.
The transactions completed in a smart way included many services provided by the Ministry, which thus records a major achievement that confirms its progress with steady steps towards using artificial intelligence techniques in all aspects of the Ministry’s work, in line with the “Zeroing Bureaucracy” program in its second phase, and the digital transformation of services, in a way that supports the competitiveness of the UAE labor market and enhances its contribution to achieving the UAE Vision 2030.
The Ministry follows a sustainable methodology for developing services using artificial intelligence solutions in an optimal way, taking advantage of its structure and digital readiness, and developing the skills of its functional staff to deal efficiently with smart automation, in parallel with electronic connectivity with its partners in the government work system, in a way that enhances the ease of business and meets the aspirations of customers to obtain fast, smooth service around the clock.
In a related context, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation revealed the outcomes of developing the work permit quota system for establishments (quota) using artificial intelligence techniques, with the aim of supporting the growth of establishments by reducing the number of required transactions, and proactively allocating work permit quotas based on the establishment’s requests and status, in a way that meets its requirements and need for manpower.
The developed system comes within the framework of the Ministry’s endeavor and to continue its pioneering journey to enhance digital solutions and artificial intelligence in all its operations to achieve operational excellence, make data-based decisions, and address potential challenges such as insufficient time, human errors, and poor effectiveness of utilizing data.
The number of shares granted to establishments through the system after its development from the beginning of this year until last October reached about 900,000 shares, and more than 11 million transactions were processed through automation and artificial intelligence processes.
The developed system contributed to reducing human efforts by 56%, by automating some procedures for about 175,000 requests out of about 310,000 requests during the period from February to last October, as well as shortening the time spent reviewing and approving requests for additional quotas for establishments that do not require human intervention by up to 99%, thus reducing the working hours and days in completing the ministry’s operations and procedures from 10 days to one second, which contributes to the accuracy of the results provided by automation projects.
The system is characterized by granting the initial “quota” to establishments automatically, as the artificial intelligence works to verify the establishments and thus automatically approves the request for the share or quota according to the establishment’s need, while in the case of the additional quota, the system relies on the prediction model and anticipates the establishment’s need for the quotas and automatically approves some of them, while the additional quotas, if they are not sufficient according to the artificial intelligence’s estimates, require review by the relevant committee.
The system is also characterized by its ability to self-learn and constantly improve its decisions, as it analyzes new data and reviews the operational patterns of facilities to adjust its expectations and determine their needs more accurately, which raises the quality and accuracy of the system’s outputs over time.
