The tally of the Egyptian delegation participating in the African Youth Games held in Angola rose by the end of Wednesday’s competitions to 52 various medals.

The Egyptian delegation’s medals have so far reached 52 various medals, including 18 gold medals, 16 silver medals, and 18 bronze medals.

During today’s competitions on Wednesday, the Egyptian national team won on the second day of the 7th annual weapons competitions. Various medals, 3 golds, 2 silvers and two bronzes, in the junior female epee, junior women’s saber and junior epee competitions.

The results were as follows: Female epee: Fatima Wahba won the gold and Lara Muhammad and Hana Hossam El-Din won the bronze.

In the junior epee competition, Yahya Shamil scored. The gold medal, and Yahya Muhammad won the silver medal.

In the junior women’s swordplay, Anan Hegazy won the gold medal, while her colleague Rawda Nasr won the silver medal.

The judo team also won the bronze medal during the team competition.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports agreed with the Egyptian Olympic Committee for Egypt’s participation in a symbolic delegation that includes about seven sports, as part of the state’s support for the champions. Promising people, and seeking to prepare a generation capable of competing in various continental and international forums.

The sports in which the Egyptian delegation participates include weapons, athletics, badminton, taekwondo, judo, table tennis, and beach volleyball.

The Egyptian delegation in Angola is headed by Captain Tariq Al-Saeed, Vice President of the Egyptian Basketball Federation and member of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, by decision of the committee’s Board of Directors, headed by Engineer Yasser. Idris.

This edition is of special importance, as it qualifies for the “Dakar 2026 Prime” Youth Olympic Games, which gives the participating teams a real opportunity to reserve their seats in the largest youth sports forum in the world, and increases the strength of competitions between countries.
