Genome Center B "Dubai Health" He is accredited by the College of American Pathologists

Dubai, December 19 / WAM / The Genome Center of Dubai Health has obtained accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the global body specialized in ensuring the quality of medical laboratories.

This accreditation is granted after a careful evaluation conducted by a committee of experts, to ensure that laboratories adhere to international standards approved in this field. It is considered one of the most prominent medical laboratory quality assurance programs in the world, as it aims to achieve the highest standards of excellence in laboratory practices.

Dr. Ahmed Abu Tayoun, Director of the Genomics Center at Dubai Health, stressed the importance of the center obtaining accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP), noting that this success embodies Dubai Health’s commitment to the highest internationally approved quality standards, and its keenness to provide high-quality services to patients and doctors, thus enhancing its position as a leading center in the field of genomic medicine and advanced research.

He explained that the Genome Center at Dubai Healthcare supports the healthcare system in an integrated manner, by analyzing genomic data and providing consultations and follow-up to individuals and families, enabling medical personnel to make accurate treatment decisions based on scientific foundations, in addition to providing a comprehensive system of genetic examinations and analyzes through molecular genetics, genomics and cytogenetics laboratories, including genetic diagnosis of hereditary and rare diseases, and a premarital genetic screening programme, which contributes to strengthening health programs and supporting the public health system at the level of the UAE.
