Sharjah, December 20, 2019 / WAM / The Rubu’ Qarn Center for Life Skills, affiliated with the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, launched the first edition of its life skills season, which targets members of Sharjah Youth and Sajaya Sharjah Girls within the age group of 13 to 18 years, in a stimulating and safe environment that reflects the depth of experience and the established strategic approach of the centre.

In its first phase, dedicated to young women, the season included a group of specific programs and interactive activities carefully designed according to a professional methodology that was compatible with the aspirations of the participants, and ranged from activities to break the psychological barrier through leadership and vocational training programs, in addition to creative practical workshops in electrical connections, automobile mechanics, and agriculture, all the way to field programs that enhance courage, stimulate creative thinking, and deepen the concept of experiential learning.

The youngsters met inspiring graduates of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation with rich experiences in interactive meetings during which they shared stories of their successes and journeys. They then practiced desert adventure activities, field walks, and treasure hunting challenges, in addition to interactive evenings that deepened the spirit of belonging and positive citizenship.

The members of Sajaya Girls of Sharjah will go through their own experience in the second phase of the season, during the period from 27 to 30 December, through an integrated program that combines cooking, sewing, and agriculture, in addition to first aid, survival skills, morning physical activities, inspiring meetings, and an interactive desert walk that enhances their self-confidence and enables them to develop decision-making skills and work in a team spirit.
