The Head of State discusses with the French President the course of historical and strategic relations between the two countries

Today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, who is on a working visit to the country.

During the meeting, which took place at the Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi, His Highness welcomed the French President and exchanged congratulations with him on the occasion of the approaching New Year, wishing the two countries and their people continued progress and prosperity.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the path of historical and strategic relations that bring together the two countries and the possibilities of strengthening them, especially in the economic, investment and cultural fields, in addition to renewable energy, advanced technology, artificial intelligence, sustainability and other aspects that serve the two countries’ vision towards achieving development and prosperity.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, and a number of ministers and senior officials. It was also attended by the delegation accompanying the French President, which includes a number of ministers and senior officials.

His Highness the President held a luncheon in honor of the French President and the accompanying delegation.

The French President arrived in the country earlier today, where he was welcomed at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and a number of senior officials.
