After a 7-year hiatus, the US Embassy in Venezuela resumes its work

The United States announced, on Monday, that its embassy in Venezuela had resumed its work, seven years after it was closed, and about three months after American forces arrested former President Nicolas Maduro. The US State Department said in a statement: “Today, we officially resume work at the US Embassy in Caracas, which represents a new phase in our diplomatic presence in Venezuela.”
