Giza, December 23, WAM / A delegation from the Emirates is participating in the preparations and organization for the launch of the tenth edition of the Zayed Charity Race, scheduled for next Friday in Sheikh Zayed City in the 6th of October district in Giza Governorate, in a humanitarian sporting event that embodies the deep-rooted legacy of giving established by the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul,” and reflects the depth of the fraternal and humanitarian relations that unite the two brotherly countries.

In recent days, there has been a huge demand for registration to participate in this year’s edition with remarkable momentum, amid expectations of a record number of participants from different age groups and nationalities, confirming the established position that the race occupies as a global platform that combines sports and charitable work, and enhances the values ​​of community integration and human solidarity.

Giza Governorate is witnessing extensive preparations to prepare for the race, in a scene that reflects the scale of community interaction and great interest in the event, in addition to the great interest and care from the Egyptian government, and the continuous work around the clock of the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports, led by His Excellency Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and in continuous coordination with the Supreme Organizing Committee for the race, headed by Lt. Gen. (M) Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi, and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, ensuring the event is produced with the highest organizational and technical standards.

The arrival of the Emirati delegation to Cairo tomorrow comes within the framework of completing the final arrangements, and reviewing the readiness of the race track and its facilities, in addition to carrying out a number of field visits and accompanying activities, including a visit to the Egyptian Food Bank, confirming that the Zayed Charity Race is not limited to being a sporting event, but rather constitutes an integrated humanitarian message that translates the values ​​of solidarity and cooperation into concrete initiatives that serve people wherever they are.

The prizes for the male and female winners in the various categories amount to 20 million Egyptian pounds, while the proceeds from the race this year are allocated to support government dialysis centers in Egypt, to strengthen the health sector, in addition to supporting the Egyptian Food Bank for the “Rayan Misr” project, which aims to dig wells, establish fish farms, and provide sustainable sources of water and food, which contributes to improving the quality of life and enhancing food and water security for the most needy groups.

In this context, Lieutenant General (M) Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Zayed Charity Race, confirmed that the tenth edition in Egypt represents a bright station in the race’s journey, and embodies the lofty humanitarian values ​​instilled by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul,” noting that the race has become a global symbol of giving and sustainable humanitarian work.

He said: We are proud of the growing humanitarian impact that the Zayed Charity Race is achieving, and of the wide turnout and great interaction we are witnessing today, which reflects society’s awareness of the race’s message and its noble goals.

He added that the close partnership with the Egyptian authorities, and the great support from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, contributed to providing an integrated regulatory environment that reflects the prestigious status of the event and ensures its continuity as a pioneering model linking sport to human service.

The organizing committee approved the timetable for the race day, which begins at six in the morning and continues until ten, and includes a variety of events, including receiving VIP visitors, races of different distances, and events dedicated to people of determination, in addition to community and awareness-raising events and accompanying entertainment activities, which gives the event an inclusive family and humanitarian character.

This year’s edition will enjoy the support and sponsorship of a number of major partners and sponsors, including Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company, Emirates Airlines (the official aviation partner), Al Habtoor Group, the Chinese company Norinco, the E& Group, and the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, as their support will contribute to raising the level of the event and enhancing its societal impact.

The 2025-2026 season of the Zayed Charity Race extends through new international stations, as the message of giving begins in Cairo, then continues in the city of Miami, United States of America, on January 31, 2026, with the season concluding in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, next May, in a global march that spreads the values ​​of goodness and hope from the Emirates to various parts of the world.

Since its launch, the Zayed Charity Race has continued to establish its presence as one of the most prominent humanitarian sporting events in the world, perpetuating the legacy of the founding leader, and confirming that the river of giving launched by Sheikh Zayed, may God rest his soul, continues to overflow with goodness everywhere, and that the steps of the runners are nothing but an extension of the river of goodness that does not stop, and a message of pride and pride in an immortal Emirati humanitarian legacy.
