17 trainees join the program "Son of the house"

Abu Dhabi, December 24 / WAM / The activities of the “Ibn Al-Dar” training program were launched at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the center’s programs included under the umbrella of “Building Youth”, which includes initiatives and activities directed to the youth and youth of the nation. The center implements the program in two stages: The first phase extends from December 15 until January 16, 2026, with the participation of 17 male and female university student trainees, while the second phase begins on January 19 until February 17, 2026.
The organization of the program embodies the center’s role in serving the community, and in implementation of one of its most prominent institutional values, “We work with patriotism stemming from the authentic heritage of the Emirates,” and in line with its efforts to empower youth, support community development, and prepare generations capable of assuming responsibility and actively participating in building the nation.
The program aims to prepare qualified national cadres to work in the field of cultural tours, by providing participants with the knowledge and professional skills necessary to provide an integrated experience for the mosque’s guests, which reflects its cultural message and its role as a national and global cultural edifice, and contributes to highlighting the bright cultural image of the UAE and its human values, especially in light of the mosque’s annual reception of millions of guests from different cultures and peoples.
The training program is based on an integrated training system that combines theoretical and applied aspects, and includes specialized workshops, knowledge lectures, and practical field application in providing cultural tours, leading to the final evaluation of the trainees, which contributes to refining their professional skills and enhancing their readiness to work in this field in accordance with the best international practices.
It also works to qualify the country’s youth to provide cultural tours to the mosque’s guests from various cultures of the world with high professionalism and efficiency, and provides participants with flexible job opportunities, whether during the training period or through the part-time system while studying, as the total number of part-time workers at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center is 39 people, with priority given to them to join work in this field after graduation, which contributes to supplying the tourism sector in the emirate with qualified national competencies.
It is worth noting that the training and qualification of the program’s members is carried out by specialized national cadres of cultural tour specialists at the centre, as the rate of localization of the cultural tour specialist profession at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center has reached 100%, and the number of graduates of the “Ibn Al Dar” program since its launch has reached 215 graduates. The center continues to adopt and qualify them within the umbrella of the “Albanian Youth”, to open future professional horizons for practicing the profession of cultural tour specialist in various cultural and tourist attractions, in addition to sectors.
