Electricity consumption in China grew by 6.2%

BEIJING, December 24 / WAM / Official data issued by the National Energy Authority of China today showed that electricity consumption increased by 6.2% annually during November to 835.6 billion kilowatt-hours.

Electricity consumption in the primary and secondary industry sectors increased by 7.9% and 4.4% annually, respectively, while consumption in the services sector increased by 10.3% annually.

Data reported by the Xinhua News Agency indicated that household electricity consumption grew by 9.8% last month to 105.7 billion kilowatt-hours. During the first 11 months of this year, China’s total electricity consumption increased by 5.2% annually, reaching about 9.46 trillion kilowatt-hours.
