UAE Harvest 2025/a lead in global competitiveness translates the vision of a nation that anticipates the future

Abu Dhabi, December 25 / WAM / During the year 2025, the UAE has achieved distinguished results in the global competitiveness race, by topping many relevant international and regional indicators and reports.

These results embodied the effectiveness and efficiency of the comprehensive development strategy pursued by the state, the leadership of its experience in managing government work, the strength and attractiveness of its economy, the security and stability it enjoys, and the excellence of the quality of life system that it provides to citizens and residents on its land.

The UAE secured its position on the list of the top five in the annual competitiveness report 2025 issued by the Global Competitiveness Center of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), scoring 96.09 points out of 100, moving two places higher than in 2024, and maintaining first place regionally for the ninth year in a row.

The UAE ranked tenth globally in the Global Soft Power Index for the year 2025, which was announced last February during the annual Soft Power Conference in the British capital, London. It was also announced that the value of the country’s national media identity would rise from one trillion US dollars to more than one trillion two hundred and twenty-three billion dollars for the year 2025.

The UAE ranked ninth globally in the Global Talent Report issued by the International Institute for Administrative Development in Lausanne for the year 2025, advancing 8 places compared to its ranking last year.

The UAE maintained its regional lead among countries with very high human development, in the 2025 Human Development Index report, issued by the United Nations Development Programme, advancing in the global ranking by 11 places compared to its ranking in the 2021-2022 report.

It ranked 15th globally out of 193 countries included in the report, and was the only Arab country on the list of the top 20 countries.

It ranked first in the world in health awareness programs, community participation in health policies, and improving the quality of life, according to the “Health Inclusion Index” launched by the “Halion” company, in cooperation with “The Economist Impact” last July during a discussion session held in Abu Dhabi.

The importance of the “Health Inclusion Index” is highlighted as it is an international assessment tool that compares the performance of 40 countries across 58 sub-indices in the areas of health culture, awareness, inclusion, and justice.

The UAE ranked second globally in implementing a comprehensive health system, was among the top five countries for individual-centered healthcare, and ranked tenth globally in health culture.

The second edition of the report on the state of digital transformation in the UAE revealed that the country leads in important government indicators at the global level. It ranked first in the world in the Communications Infrastructure Index, the Digital Government Institutional Framework, the Digital Content Index, and the Digital Knowledge Index, issued by the United Nations, while it achieved first place globally in the Government Digital Capacity Index issued by Oxford Insights, and ranked third in the Government Services Delivery Index, fourth in the Government Digital Transformation Maturity Index issued by the World Bank, and eleventh in each of… The Digital Competitiveness Index issued by the International Institute for Administrative Development and the Digital Government Development Index issued by the United Nations.

The UAE has strengthened its position as one of the most attractive countries in the world for those wishing to live and work in a safe and stable environment, as it topped the list of the safest countries around the world in mid-2025, according to a report by the global statistics website “Numbio”.

The safety score was recorded at 85.2 out of 100 points in the report, which relies on several criteria to measure the level of safety, including crime rates, public safety, quality of security services, in addition to social and economic stability.

The UAE has renewed its superiority in many international reports specialized in economics and business, as it ranked first in the world for the fourth year in a row in the “Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Report for 2024/2025,” which classified the UAE as the best place for entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprises, out of 56 economies included this year.

According to the World Investment Report 2025 of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the UAE ranked tenth globally as the largest destination for inward foreign direct investment flows in the world, as the country recorded an unprecedented level of inward foreign direct investment flows worth 167.6 billion dirhams ($45.6 billion) in 2024.

The UAE ranked ninth globally in the Global Digital Competitiveness Report 2025, issued by the International Institute for Administrative Development in Lausanne, Switzerland, strengthening its position among the top ten countries in the world in digital performance, and maintaining its regional leadership.
