An increase in shipments of “foreign phones” to China

Calculations conducted by Reuters, based on data issued by a research body affiliated with the Chinese government, yesterday, showed that shipments of foreign-branded mobile phones to China, including iPhones from the American company Apple, increased by 128.4% last November, compared to the same month last year.

Data issued by the Chinese Academy of Information and Communications Technology revealed that total phone shipments in China rose by 1.9% on an annual basis to 30.16 million units in November 2025, while shipments of foreign-brand phones reached 6.93 million units.
