Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed witnesses the opening of the Winter Games event "Winterland Al Ain" At Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium
Al Ain, December 26 / WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan witnessed the opening of the “Winterland Al Ain” Winter Games event, which will be held at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in the Al Ain region until January 15, 2026, and its organization comes within the framework of continuous efforts aimed at strengthening the system of entertainment and sports facilities at the region level.
The “Winterland Al Ain” event is a qualitative addition to the entertainment and sports scene in the Al Ain region, as it offers a variety of activities and games that suit different age groups, within a winter atmosphere that combines entertainment, family activities and sports experiences, including facilities for ice skating, adventure games, and spaces designated for interactive activities for children and youth.
The event also provides integrated sports and entertainment facilities, in addition to restaurants and cafes with a heritage character that reflects the authenticity of local traditions and the richness of the cultural heritage of the Al Ain region.
The accompanying activities also include creative activities and artistic and cultural workshops that contribute to developing children’s skills and encourage them to innovate, within an integrated environment to develop the creative talents of young people.
During the visit, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that organizing community entertainment and sporting events constitutes a fundamental pillar in enhancing the quality of life, and contributes to providing a positive environment that supports community cohesion, consolidates healthy lifestyles, and meets the aspirations of families, in line with the vision of the wise leadership in building a society capable of contributing effectively to supporting the comprehensive national development process.
The opening of “Winterland Al Ain” comes in line with the strategic development directions that aim to strengthen the position of the Al Ain region as a destination for community events and family activities throughout the year, by continuing to invest in developing infrastructure, improving the quality of community services, and creating recreational and sports facilities for all members of society.
During the opening, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan was accompanied by His Excellency Rashid Musabah Al Manai, Director General of Al Ain City Municipality, and Brigadier Saeed Humaid bin Dalmuj Al Dhaheri, Director of Al Ain Police Directorate, along with a number of officials.
