The Emirates World Cup for Arabian Horses concludes its second edition in Kuwait

Kuwait, December 28 / WAM / The curtain came down yesterday evening on the competitions of the second edition of the Emirates World Cup for Arabian Horses, which was held through global tours that included various continents of the world, and ended in the Bait Al Arab Arena in the State of Kuwait.

The final round witnessed the participation of 150 horses belonging to about 91 owners, as the qualifying rounds included the categories of fillies and colts at the age of one, two and three years, in addition to the categories of mares and stallions, before concluding with the final championships that resulted in the winners being crowned with gold titles.

The closing ceremony was the culmination of strong competition, wide participation from stalls and owners, and a remarkable official and public presence, which strengthened the championship’s position as one of the most prominent international events specialized in the beauty of Arabian horses.

Sheikh Hamad Khaled Al Sabah, His Excellency Dr. Matar Hamid Al Neyadi, UAE Ambassador to Kuwait, and Mohammed Ahmed Al Harbi, Director General of the Emirates Arabian Horse Association, Vice Chairman of the Emirates World Cup for Arabian Horses Committee, witnessed the closing and participated in the crowning of the winners, along with a number of officials, owners and stud managers.

791 horses belonging to about 460 owners participated in the rounds of the second edition of the Emirates World Cup for Arabian Horses, with total prizes amounting to 3 million and 986 thousand dirhams. The number of horses that won was 488, while the number of winning owners reached 342 owners, in a new confirmation of the growing international status of the tournament.

The second edition of the Cup, by organizing tours on all continents of the world, confirmed the sustainability of the success achieved by the first edition, and embodied the UAE’s keenness to support owners and breeders of Arabian horses, enhance its international presence, and preserve the authentic Arab cultural heritage associated with Arabian horses.

Returning to the final results of the tournaments in the Kuwait round, the filly “Rwaya Al-Fayyad” by Muslih Al-Anazi was crowned with the gold title for yearling fillies, while she came in second place and won the silver title “Sayta Al-Sayt” by Khaled Al-Azmi, while third place and the bronze title went to “Asayel Nadira” by Othman Al-Obaid.

“Doc Gilan” by Fahd Al-Kandari won the gold title for fillies, followed in second place and won the silver title by “Noura Al-Badwa” by Abdul Rahman Muhammad Al-Ajmi, while “Alehandra” by Al-Dhafra Stud came in third place and won the bronze title.

“Abhar Queen” by Hussein and Khalifa Al-Dabbous won the gold title for mares, and came in second place and won the silver title, “Asayel Madara” by Al Jasmi Stud, while the bronze title went to “Justica EA” by Mohammed Essam Al-Sahhaf.

“Asayel Majd” by Khaled Al-Naghimshi topped the yearling colt competition, and won the gold title, followed in second place and “Sultan Banat Al-Rih” by Abdulaziz Al-Jassar won the silver title, while “HMF Jaber” by Hamad Musleh Al-Anzi won the bronze title.

“Al-Muhannad Al-Jasmi” by Al-Jasmi Stud won the gold title for colts, followed in runner-up and “Abhar Rashad” by Hussein and Khalifa Al-Dabbous won the silver title, while “Qais Al-Fayad” by Musleh Fayyad Al-Anazi won the bronze title.

The stallion “Wasim Al Bahia” by Meshal Jassim Al Misbah won the golden title for stallions, came in second place and won the silver title “Hafeet” for Abdul Latif Al Rumaih, while he came third and won the bronze title “Dollar Al Remas” for Ali Al Hindal.

It is noteworthy that the rounds of the second edition of the Emirates World Cup for Arabian Horses started in Australia during the period from January 31 to February 2, 2025, followed by the second round in the Kingdom of Bahrain on May 1 and 2, and then the third round in the Kingdom of Morocco during the period from May 9 to 11, 2025.

The tournament then moved to the Chinese city of Qingdao to hold the fourth round in July, then to the Polish capital Warsaw in August, which also witnessed the sixth round being held in Belgium, while two successive rounds were organized in September, represented by the seventh round in the United States of America and the eighth round in Argentina, before Italy hosted the ninth round last November, leading to the final round in the State of Kuwait.
