Abu Dhabi Police announces its readiness for New Year celebrations in 2026
Abu Dhabi, December 29 / WAM / Abu Dhabi Police adopted a security plan to secure New Year’s celebrations for the New Year 2026 in all regions of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with strategic partners, to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and reduce traffic congestion.
Brigadier General Mohammed Dhahi Al Himairi, Director of the Central Operations Sector, said that Abu Dhabi Police has prepared a joint security plan to secure tourist areas, commercial centers and traffic during New Year celebrations, to ensure the security and safety of the public.
For its part, the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate in the Central Operations Sector confirmed its readiness to enhance traffic safety by taking the necessary precautions and measures, and urged road users to pay attention and adhere to the traffic law and speed limits, not to be busy with the phone while driving, and to leave a sufficient safety distance between vehicles.
It warned against uncivilized practices such as using types of spraying (party spray), reckless driving and making noise, and called for adherence to the guidelines and advice that aim to provide protection and safety and create the atmosphere for the success of events and activities, achieving happiness for the public in the moments of celebrations welcoming the New Year, and reflecting the honorable image of the country.
The Command and Control Center of the Operations Department in the Central Operations Sector has completed its preparations for New Year’s and the New Year.
Colonel Ali Muftah Al-Eryani, Director of the Operations Department of the Central Operations Sector, said that Abu Dhabi Police provided the best equipment, technologies and qualified human cadres in the “Operations Room,” calling on community members not to hesitate to contact the Central Operations Room in the event of an emergency by calling 999 around the clock.
